Amanda Gari (Lydia Lasker) has been a part of the cabaret scene on both coasts, but prefers the one without snow and ice. Her shows provide a potpourri of special material, standards, Broadway, and impersonations. As an actress, she has run the gamut from stripper Tessie Tura in Gypsy to portraying Judy Garland a record three times in three different plays, most fortuitously in Carved in Stone, where she met Leon Acord (and the rest, as they say, is history).
On television, she was a potential juror anxious to see mobster Sonny Corinthos put behind bars on General Hospital, and had the distinction of yodeling “Jingle Bells” as Liza Minnelli on Victorious.
