Bruce L. Hart (Nelson Van Eddy) began writing and producing theatre for the LA stage back in the early 90’s creating several long running shows including “It Started with a Lie” which ran a record breaking 3 years and “Naked Deception” which was a hit on the LA stage and ultimately became the feature film “Homewrecker”.

Hart’s recent work as an actor includes his popular recurring role as bitchy Nelson Van Eddy on “Old Dogs and New Tricks”, a recurring role on the cable TV series “Boystown” and several roles in feature films including: “Homewrecker” (with Rebekah Kochan), “Saltwater” (with Ian Roberts and Ronnie Kerr) “The Trouble with Barry” (with Peter Stickles) and “Bro What Happened” (with Lorenzo Lamas and Jamie Kennedy).  Hart just wrapped filming for a role on the BET channel “Love or Laughs” playing a gay rapper.

Always perfectly dressed and groomed, and never at a loss for a catty remark, Nelson Van Eddy is Nathan Adler’s arch enemy. Former co-workers and pals when Nathan worked as an agent at CAA, something happened in their past to change them from friendly colleagues into spiteful enemies—but so far, neither is talking! Nelson never passes up a chance to get in a good dig at Nathan—and seems to delight to tormenting Ross as well. He recently married notorious former circuit boy Dirk Evans in a lavish gay wedding. Nelson has no kids, no pets, and no plastic house plants!
